With the phones hitting Canada, Europe, China, and India all within 2 weeks, then no, BlackBerry is not at fault.

But sometime after that was "leaked" and it is a leak this "official" statement came out and resported by N4BB:

"BlackBerry 10 Phones Releasing 30 Days After Launch Event, says RIM COO Kristian Tear - N4BB"

So much for the leak vs a COO.

Is there an official statement for release date in the US? 30 days after launch is March. Seems the leak is saying the same thing the official statement says.

Did RIM/BBRY not know how long it took US carriers to certify a device?
Does it take all US carriers the same amount of time to do a certification?

As stated BB said months ago the Europe would get the phones 1st, so it is pretty much BB's decision on delay the US launch. Which in the long run might be good.

Understanding Americans is pretty simple: If you host a "launch" of a product in the US, you'd damned well better have it available within a reasonable time-frame - and no, a month and a half later is not reasonable to Americans.

We are impatient, and we want it now - or we'll look elsewhere and advise those we know to do the same. Then to add insult to injury, you announce (after the launch event in the US) that your new product will be available in other countries? Yeah, that's just galactically stupid. And folks wonder why their stock took a huge dump?
