I was interested in the Classic, till I heard about the relatively low specification, and so this concept is aimed between the Passport and Classic.

The look is an amalgamation of the Z10 screen with Q5 keyboard. It has a high definition display (missing from the Classic) and full physical keyboard (e.g. physical Shift/Alt/Sym keys are missing on the Passport).

The physical keyboard is styled from the Q5, which itself is similar to the Curve83X0 series. I find this key style is less error prone than the newer Classic, Bold9900 style.
This concept design also has extended shift key size, so that the one handed Alt+Shift shortcut is easier to press.

I call it the BlackBerry Q-Zero "The Wolf" (Canadian Wolf & Wolf of Wall Street ideas coming together )

it is shorter than the iPhone 6 plus baton. (only about 1 inch taller than a Z10)
it is not for looks but function.
it currently doesn't exist hence "concept".
It is a Z10 Q5 hybrid, incorporating the best of both.

I like it. It should be a slider, though.

Good point, a slider would cut down on the height.

I envisioned it as something they could build from off the shelf parts now (from Z10 & Q5), and have in stores in a couple of months, cutting down any developmental costs.
It would enable them to capture the area of the market that sits between the Passport and the Classic.

The Classic has a full keyboard, but lacks the power of the Passport.
The Passport has the power, but lacks the full keyboard of the Classic.
The Wolf sitting between these two, has more power than the Classic & fuller keyboard than the Passport.

Imagine trying to swipe down from the top of the screen to get the quick settings with one hand after typing something on the keyboard. Sounds like fun times...

This can be used to whack one out of the park during a cricket match. You have my blessings though. Most people hated the first Passport pics. Now everyone's loving it.

Daaaamnnn! A 16:9 screen, plus a full blown keyboard with a trackpad! That's almost comical.

The Q5 keyboard is what makes it so tall. It definitely needs the Q10 keyboard to bring down some of the height. Getting rid of the BlackBerry branding on the front will also save some space as well. I too want something like this, fully Z10 like screen and physical keyboard. Tool belt would be a bonus.

NOW it is possible to have a idea of the device size. Still too big. Still a club. Using this with one hand would be impossible even with the trackpad.

@PlazmicFlame Yes, that is what many of us want.
A full powered device, with large screen, and full keyboard.

    @all
This is my take on such a device. I went for a Q5 style keyboard instead of the Q10/Bold type as I find that style is less prone to typos when typing fast.
There was another design basing their work of the Passport. I think they called it the Q30.

It just shows that some of us want a Classic with more powerful specs, a full screen, and full keyboard (unlike the passport).
Anything less feels like moving backwards, not sure I'm prepared to do that even though I like BlackBerry.

It would have to be a horizontal slider. A vertical slider would make that thing too top-heavy.

One year on....comparing like with like, namely the Q-Zero against the Priv with keyboard open rather than closed:
    Q-Zero Priv
    Height (mm) 155.8 184.0
    Width (mm) 65.6 77.2
    Thickness (mm) 9 9.4
    Height:Width ratio 2.3750 2.3834
    Weight (g) 164.8 192
The Priv is slightly more "police baton" than the cheap-to-build & quick-to-market concept design. Even with the keyboard closed it's still a bit of a brick at 192g.
However, the Priv is undoubtedly a good step for BlackBerry.
