If anyone goes, please post some pictures here!

Surely this means that there are no plans (this year at least) to cancel devices.
For those interested, BlackBerry posted a photo of the (very small) pop up store on their Instagram account:

I was there this weekend, actually. My picture looks like the one posted above. I spoke with the rep manning the booth about interest and device sales. He said it was generating a good amount of interest and that they have sold a lot of devices.. He was pretty knowledgeable, he wasn't sure PRIV would work on the Sprint network and checked for another customer on his computer while I was perusing. I hope this helps in generating brand awareness!
That's Great.. They definitely need to do more of these stores in several countries. Wish you took a few pictures up close.. but thanks for sharing.
The best way to look at this pop up store and hopefully more to come is a low cost method to expand SOME sales.
The issue with the lack of carrier support in many markets is the lack of real devices in stores. Having functional devices for their entire portfolio of phones in tens of thousands of stores all over the world is an expense that BlackBerry just can't do with a money losing hardware division. I am fully aware of the concept of spending money in order to make money but it goes both ways. You sometimes need to make money in order to spend on expense.
In any event this store might let them sell a few hundred devices in a shorter period of time for min cost. I don't know what the rent for this store would be but I don't see it being more than $4000 a month? I don't know NY real estate but this isn't some large footprint. Throw in 1-3 staff members and you can potentially run a profitable store for cheap.
Hopefully this low cost method moves onto other larger markets that BlackBerry still has lots of strong users.

Wow, look at that line of customers! (Just kidding)
Perhaps if they have hundreds of these scattered across North America they could get the word out? But this is Blackberry, so I'm not holding my breath.
Maybe they could share space with Piercing Pagoda.

I like the concept of the pop up store and I hope it's successful for Blackberry. Here in my area the brand has been forgotten and Android and IOS are the dominant players now.
I really do think this idea will work, but only in certain markets like NY, Chicago and Toronto. We will have to wait and see how the NY one works out.
Yeah, I'm sure this is a test to see before others are put up. Let's face it, one in NYC will do nothing for sales. They need many of them to make it worth their while.
Any endeavor that potentially increases awareness, exposure, and sales is worthwhile.

The fact that it's costing them very little is a good thing and a smart move. If it doesn't work, no great loss.
Depending on how you look at it, it cost them a lot lol.

Can anyone who purchased a Priv here with the $200 off sale, please confirm the total dollar amount with sales tax?
Was it $649-$200= $449+tax?

Yeah I'm not sure how knowledgeable this rep was if he didn't even know that the Priv won't work on Sprint's network. How does a guy working in a store for Blackberry not know this?
