Blackberry Pearl still has memory left but auto deletes texts

Hello,

I am hoping someone can help...

My blackberry has 1180868 bytes free out of 54132736 bytes.

I've had friends send me a text message, and it is received for a second and then is deleted. My call log disappears as well.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'd appreciate any tips or suggestions.

Your free memory is extremely low. You have 1 180 868 bytes. You need 12 000 000 free for normal operation. That explains your lost text messages. You need to perform the Memory Optimization Procedure that's linked in my sig. That will help you recover memory and help you correct your problem.
