I wish that they could add decimal points, so that way Blackberry could at least have a percentage. It looks so sad looking at that 0% market share.

Yes it is true BB claimed as revenue 1.3 million devices, actual sell through was 3.4 million.
It just looks worse when reported this way. All though it will be so much easier for BB to show increased sales of there smart
phones once this accounting clean up is over.

way to rehash old news op!

I suppose it's to be expected that sales of bb10 handsets is declining. The most recent one is of a previous generation. M8 and Galaxy S5 stealing all of the thunder

I'll be part of the Q2 numbers since I didn't get my Q10 till April. Sales reports always look bad in black and white.

This is the reason why consumer tech firms launch flagship products every year to maintain or boost sales. Hard for Z10 and Z30 to compete with newer and newer models coming out. The Q10 not so much since it's in a less competitive market where BlackBerry leads

They need to bring out more phones with better hardware specs. I don't understand why a smaller Chinese mobile company such as VIVO can bring out much better specs phones faster than Blackberry.

I would love to buy a VIVO Xplay 3G or VIVO Xshot like Blackberry phones running BB10. May be Mr Chan is talking to the wrong Chinese company?

The only differentiating factor between Android phones is specs. iOS and BB10 are one man races.
What is the point of super-duper specs, if it is already fast enough? What apps are you running that require so much 'horsepower'?

99% of the time the specs are just for show.

The sales numbers for BlackBerry were definitely bad, but the one thing that I noticed from the figures is that the gap between BB10 sales and BBOS sales are getting smaller and smaller. Especially when you compare Q1 2013, Q4 2013 and Q1 2014.

We will see BB10 sales being higher than BBOS. Z3 hopefully generates numbers that pushes it over.

On the positive side if BlackBerry was to just get 1% market share it's sales will double!!! Glass is definitely half full from where I am looking at.

Well on the bright side, when your sales levels have hit the floor there is no way than up. I'm hoping that the Z3 will at least boost the sales numbers in the emerging markets.

If that's true maybe BlackBerry should think about putting on a show.... what they are doing is not getting the job done.

Well, I guess one positive way to look at it is BBRY still managed to sell 1.3 million devices even though they lacked any semblance of an effective marketing or sales strategy. In fact, one could argue that BBRY was undermining its own devices in the marketplace. Imagine what could happen if BBRY actually took consumer sales seriously! LOL.
