What on earth is this Reto Actinver?????
The 4th Actinver-Imagen Stock Market Challenge is an aptitude program that lasts 6 weeks, which simulates the trading (buy/sell) of a series of chosen securities (�stocks�) that are listed in the Mexican Stock Market (BMV) with the purpose of promoting knowledge -without any risk to the participant- of the financial markets in Mexico. This year the prices rise up to more than 3.5 million pesos.
I remember doing this type of thing in grade school. Me and a buddy made a million fake bucks. There was an article in the paper and everything. Our prize was a calculator or something. Hope nobody in the competition buys RIM stock with any expectations in the next 6 weeks
The local newspaper here used to have a column in the business page where one of the business reporters competed against a professional financial analyst. Every week for 3 months they made trades. Then they checked which person had more "money" at the end of the project. The pros won every time, and the column has since been discontinued.
