Now, this should help BBRY ramping up more success in the EMM field. The image problem of being recognized as a phone company had really hindered their effort to be the EMM vendor to manage other BYODs initiative.

Not really big news. BlackBerry has been dying a slow death in the phone business. Only people I know with. BlackBerry got it from work.

I still love my BlackBerry but I have a feeling in a few years I may be on an Android phone.

Neither is Bell Canada (it's now an Internet and media company). Nor Is Rogers Canada; it's a TV cable company that became an Internet company that happens to offer cell phones.

I see a lot of Blackberries in NYC but they are company issued and mostly Bold's.

I went to Italy for over two weeks and saw a total of 3 BB's. Mine, an old model and a Passport on the flight back to the states. It is safe to say most of us on Cracberry will not have a BlackBerry in a few years if not sooner. I still love mine!

You can't love BlackBerry hardware and care about BlackBerry's future and cheer on Chen. Chen is destroying the company and proud of it. BlackBerry may continue in name only but it won't include phones. Or it may be sold. Either way Chen was the wrong choice for CEO if you wanted to see the company come back.

It's too positive to say BlackBerry is NOT JUST a phone company any more. Got to make that headline pop. Negativity sells. This article is old news anyway. I like how my local news had an article about the layoffs the next day but not the Athoc acquisition the day after that. Way to keep readers informed.

But BlackBerry never tried to sell it and never switched to another manufacturer for the device when Jabil Circuits bailed on BlackBerry. How can you sell a phone that you can only ever have a finite number of. Yet another of Chairman Chen's bone head decisions.
