BlackBerry needs to apply for their own spectrum to compete?

If BlackBerry acquires it's own spectrum and starts selling primarily their own devices could they compete? Recent auction for the prized 700 Megahertz frequency received lukewarm interest, Should BlackBerry invest in this infrastructure to market products in addition to being a "Carrier" itself? Most other players Samsung on particular has other sources of revenue. Could this proposal create a revenue stream sufficient to sustain BlackBerry? The proposal also includes applying for Carrier status in other Countries as well?

while its a good idea for revenue if people will not buy blackberry devices on other carriers why would they from blackberry them selfs ? i kno w some people will but that wont be enough to sustain them are the current rate of defection to other systems back in the days when blackberry was king this would of made them millions lol

I think if anything it would be used in the automotive part with QNX but i havent dont much looking into it

Partnership with Dish Network would be great. $50.00 unlimited data. Sell the devices at premium prices and people would buy. Oh well, TH is running the show. I'll zip it now.
