Leather on a tablet?
And why a trackpad given the large screen? I can understand (somewhat) a trackpad on a tiny QWERTY screen, but this?
Hub button :)

Bezel and a gyroscope too pass?
Yes, for the tablet. A blackberry tablet should look like a blackberry phone but work completely different

Just an FYI, there is a section in the forums for Concept Devices, etc. I think all these posts should be in that area. I believe it's a subsection of the News and Rumours forum. Thanks

It's a call-back to the days of the Bold 9000, I'd say.
Correct :)

That's not just a track pad but an NSA eyeball that also scans your finger
I would love to see a dumb screen that docks a BlackBerry phobe into the back to run the tablet. Would make the thing a lot cheaper....

The iPad looks similar to the iPhone and works pretty much same.
It's safe to say that it has done pretty well for looking the same and functioning nearly the same.
If it were a fingerprint scanner or something, I'd understand. But a trackpad on that big of a device doesn't really make sense to me, especially if it's for just the Hub. Why not swiping over from the left bezel to bring up the Hub? Would a tablet even need a Hub? Maybe the trackpad could be customizable in its function, but I know I wouldn't want it to bring up my Hub.
The PlayBook OS is pretty good. I love its multitasking and ability to swipe between apps. The OS wasn't derided much--it was initial lack of email, the "app gap" and the total lack of native BBM that got the PlayBook so badly reviewed.
I never expect to see a BlackBerry tablet again, to be honest, but your mockup looks nice.
Clever idea to be honest!

Render it up :)
