Its funny watching everyone waiting on a release that wasn't announced by RIM or even confirmed by anyone in the know. All this hand wringing is going on because some trusty BlackBerry "Ninja" said today was the day. I'm as excited as anyone about an official BBM 5 release but I think we all need to relax. ****, I'm still waiting on that BIS 2.8 update from the weekend to show up and that was confirmed by RIM.

Since RIM headquarters is in Waterloo Ontario, they would be EST, and as for everyone doubting because it's "outside business hours" remember, most of RIM's server maintainence and upgrades roll out after hours, because their IT dept can mess with the server without losing productive time, so evening/night is plausible for the rollout.
