Just trying to figure out if there is a way to turn off the added title of my blackberry messenger buddies? For example:

Contacts:
Random Joe - this is the title.

Is there a way to turn of everything after the hyphenation?

Nope. That will display unless you can convince the other person to remove the text on their end!

I may not be understanding what you mean....

But you can change the name of the other person in BBM. If you highlight their name, go to "Contact Profile" and then scroll to where your cursor is in the field where their name is. You can type anything you want in that field and then click "save".

he wants no status msg to show. on the upgrade bbm its more like

Nope. Unfortunatly you have to live with your BBM buddies silly sayings after their names. It's a pain. One of my BBM buddies has had the same quote on there for months. It drives me crazy lol

I know what you mean. I had one contact who was "out for a jog" for 2 1/2
freakin months.

My friend's little quote says "Having a party". So I guess he has been living it up for the last 3 months.
