I completely love my Blackberry Curve, its changed my life.
However, I've noticed when I'm having a chat on BBM that a letter appears above the 'tick' to show when a message has been sent.

The letters I've seen are 'R' and 'D'....I'm guessing 'R' means received?
Anyone know what 'D' means?
Will I expect to see any others and, if so, what do they mean?

D means delivered or "delivered to the device. R is read which is basically after they have opened it

They nailed. D means it's sitting on their device waiting to be read. R means they read it.

It's pretty useful, sometimes. Generally speaking I don't pay that much attention to it, unless I'm waiting for a response.

'R' means your friend has red the message,
'D' means your message has been delivered x(y)

If there's no letter above the 'tick' it means your message hasn't even been delivered to the recipient, which could suggest their BB is off, or they have no network coverage, or they turned off all connections, etc.
