    Do u have to have the data plan or txt in order to use the blackberry messenger? I have a data plan but my cousin doesn't so I was wondering if it would charge him if he used it

    Both parties would need the BB data plan. It runs off data only.

    BBM requires the Data Plan & PIN # of each party to message each other, used it & love it, everyone should have a BB
