Is there a way to install my country map into the BlackBerry map data base? Cause there is no info of my city nor country in BB maps, it sucks big time cause when someone sends me his location, and I hit the link, it opens in BlackBerry Maps and doesn't show anything, plus there isn't a way to use other maps apps as default, I think BlackBerry should address this ASAP! And I think I speak on behave of the whole Latin America community.

    Cheers!

I believe the issue is a little bit more complicated than BlackBerry just adding support for regions.

Over the last 2 years I see that TomTom has removed map support from several regions, - and if BBMaps rely on TomTom - well - a bad circle.

SO please - all with Map issues - report again back to BlackBerry - all channels you have - hopefully they will be able to implement different map solution in next BB10.3, not only relying on 1 map source.

In our region, even Bing anf Google maps are "off". They do have locations - but the GPS is for some reason off... so streets or POIs are not where they are supposed to be in real life.

The only map that is "reliable" for streets and POIs here - are OpenStreetMaps

Another issue with Google Maps, they allowed users to insert POI's since many years ago, and users without reliable GPS added pointers everywhere, many of which is completely way off... Restaurants out in the ocean etc... It has also proven to be a real pain to get Google to fix this, over 4 years only managed to have them fix 1 location - out of 100+ reported.

I hope that next native 10.3 SDK will give options to use OSM as data source for streets and POI
