I have blue tooth in my car (Acura) and my BlackBerry is paired and I have pre-loaded a number of frequently used numbers for voice activation. Whenever I want to make a call I simply say the predefined name, "Call Jeff Jones" and off it goes. Even though I may not have used the phone for 30 minutes, it allows the outgoing call (ie it by-passes my BlackBerry's 10 minute security feature). So my question is: I do some BlackBerry/Bluetooth support as part of my job, and I was wondering if all Bluetooth devices should have this capability to by-pass the BlackBerry's locking security function or is this particular to factory installed car bluetooth? I am having issues with users having to manually unlock their BlackBerry in their vehicle before using the Bluetooth functionality.

Has anybody come across this issue?

    Thanks in advance,
    Clark

BB - options - bluetooth - menu - options - allow outgoing calls:

    - always
    - if unlocked
    - never

Here are my settings, of course it all depends on what you need:
