I keep receiving this message everytime I try to install the new Blackberry Link...I'm running Windows 7 and have went and already "uninstalled" the old version via "Uninstall a program". Anybody know what I need to delete off my laptop though to get this puppy to properly install...? I seem to be at a complete stand-still. Thanks for the help in advance!

I've tried all that...the program is no longer listed under "Uninstall A Program" in the control panel...I've restarted, ran the new install as Administrator...and the error is still popping up ...........Any other suggestions?

In many cases, it's been driver related!

Also, try " run as administrator" to install!

Went into Advanced Boot Screen and hit "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" which was the only thing similar to what you mentioned in your post that was listed...started up...Ran as administrator...same problem :-/

And yes, I have CCleaner...I can run it...

One of the "pop ups" sez: on an "unavailable network." So I'm guessing that you're going wireless.
If that's the case, hardwire (ethernet cable) into a router or modem and disable wi-fi.

The only other thing I can think of, is to do a traditional Rain Dance and pray to the Sun- Gods!
(well, nobody else thought of that!) LOL

For anyone else that runs into this issue...I used the Microsoft "Fix It" tool via the following link to COMPLETELY remove Blackberry Link...seems that some old files were still left behind even though my normal "Uninstall A Program" option in Windows 7 said otherwise...This tool completely wiped it off my system, allowing me to install the new version: What happened to the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (MSICUU2.exe)?
    zocster and khal like this.
