Saturday, June 07, 2008: MTS Ukraine, a wholly owned subsidiary of OAO Mobile TeleSystems, and Alcatel-Lucent have launched BlackBerry Internet Service in the Ukraine for MTS customers. The new BlackBerry service was deployed in Ukraine by Alcatel-Lucent.
BlackBerry Internet Service from Research In Motion (RIM) is now available to contract MTS subscribers both on the MTS-Ukraine network and on roaming partners' EDGE/GPRS networks. It is designed for smaller businesses and individuals, allowing users to access up to 10 supported personal e-mail accounts (including most popular ISP email accounts such as, Yahoo! Mail and Google Mail) from a single device.

Moreover, with the launch of BlackBerry Internet Service, individual subscribers can now take advantage of many benefits of the BlackBerry solution already available to our corporate customers. I am sure that MTS-Ukraine subscribers will value the BlackBerry solution capabilities as an efficient and reliable tool for work and everyday life," said Andrey Dubovskov, director general, MTS, Ukraine.

BlackBerry Internet Service is available from MTS-Ukraine both in the home network and in the roaming-partners' EDGE/GPRS networks. You can access up to 10 work and personal e-mail accounts, plus an optional, new BlackBerry e-mail address that comes with your BlackBerry smartphone.

To become a BlackBerry Internet Service subscriber, it is necessary to buy a BlackBerry smartphone and to order service activation in an MTS-Ukraine shop. E-mail access can be set up using the smartphone's set-up wizard upon purchase in the shop or through a user-friendly Web interface in the section 'BlackBerry from MTS' on external link www.mts.com.ua.

The flat rate for using the service with unlimited data transmission volume is approximately $40.
