These are not unique to BB. Both iOS and Android have app permissions.

Not all agree that Android is the "best" operating system... still many fans of iOS and Windows. And some even prefer some of the older operating systems of the past.... lots of folks really like WebOS, BBOS are still BlackBerry's biggest userbase, MeeGo, Bada and Symbian still have a few fans. And no doubt that many BlackBerry users would vote for the "in support mode" BB10 OS of yesterday too.....

Yes. In fact, the BB10 VKB uses word prediction and keyboard heat-mapping (the feature you're talking about) from SwiftKey, which BB licensed to be the engine for their VKB. The swipe up to complete was unique to BB, though.
