I hope that's not true. 2.8 g of ram. 10g of storage memory I hope I read that wrong. 16 is to small. And the go to ten??????

Wasn't what I was expecting, but eh. Hope they won't price this out of contention like the Priv.

Well they took to heart the request for a better front camera...... well at least in MP.

But the numbers are kinda strange... 2.8GB of Ram, 10GB of Storage, 7MP Front Camera.

As noted in the front page blog post, those could be remaining memory amounts after the OS takes some of that up - not total installed memory.

Still, 16gb is too small for a single model offering even for a mid-range phone in 2016.

    2.8GB makes no sense, it's 3GB.

Also if you look in the GFXBench record for the Priv, it also says 10GB, which makes no sense because the Priv has 32GB.

    Also I think that 615 is actually a 617. 615 runs at 1.7GHz, and 617 runs at 1.5GHz.

Sorry my bad I guess that is with the os running. But they should going minimum of 32 now.

And 12mpix camera. I would think the 18 of the priv was a mid range shooter. When most have 22 now.

The "Rome" apparently will, this one won't... folks have been screaming for an all-touch... :-)

Aside from the 16 Gb storage, seems perfect for my needs otherwise. 5.2" screen, 1080p display (which is all one needs these days, anything more just drinks battery). Hopefully it's priced well, and I'll probably bite

I'm definitely all over this when it launches (the Rome as well!). Loving the Priv and what BB has done with Android but am looking for the next iteration of an all-touch DroidBerry... One that's slightly more compact, less mechanical parts (Priv was my first slider and while the mechanics are super slick, I'll get my pkb fix the traditional way) and a much larger selection of cases and accessories.

I feel there is no need to worry about the storage. It will support a SD card so one can easily bump up the memory at minimal price.
Specs are looking good. Now everything depends on the pricing. I feel $299 would be absolutely bang on!
But don't think BlackBerry will go that down. Maybe max $349.

An SD card will help with general storage, but it will only help with device memory if you use it as adoptable storage - which combines the device and SD card memory as all system memory for apps.

I actually don't want to use that option. I prefer to leave my SD card separate so I can take it out as needed. Only use it for pictures, documents and other files.

If this phone only has 16gb, that would be pretty small for any decent amount of Android apps. 32gb is just a better amount.

As noted elsewhere, it could still have 32gb, and the device tested just has a boat-load of apps loaded already. It was said that the Priv reported the same 10gb back when it was tested.

I think it's even more interesting that nobody even thinks that losing 6gb to the OS is surreal, hell windows uses less.

Thats an awfull lot of spyware right there

Or maybe the device install a lot of apps for testing?

I don't know... it used almost 10GB on my tablet. But I do think Windows Mobile is different and runs with more of the OS staying compressed.

What impresses me is that Windows 10 (full version) runs pretty well on my 18 month old Tablet with only 1GB of RAM.

If the Hamburg didn't have an SD card slot I'd say that 16GB was too small. But for a base device for enterprise, I think 16GB will be just fine. If a company has need of their employees using more... they can add a SD CARD and format it as Internal Memory.

There are TWO A7s though. There's old A7 and the new A7 2016 which uses the Exynos now.

You guys don't understand. No one uses apps. You don't need that much storage. Snapdragon S4 Pro is probably the best out there. Quad core is irrelevant.

This is a premium device with premium build quality. BlackBerry needs to make a profit so I expect atleast a $799 USD start.

And, of course, anything with "Pro" in the name just exudes quality and performance - and demands a higher price... right?

Ah the good ol' days of "you don't need apps when you have a browser".

Back then it was because apps didn't exist.

Now it's because there's too little storage on the phone hahah
