I have an 8310. It has started creating draft messages over and over, opening menus, backlight going on and off all by itself. It is laying down with nothing touching it. It is like it is being controlled remotely. Anyone else ever experience an issue like this? I'm running OS 4.5.0.42

Sounds scary! Take the battery out, while the device is on, wait about 1 minute, then put it back in...

Instead of a battery pull you can hold Alt+RightShift+Del (this supposedly does the same thing) it's more convenient if you have a case or skin on your phone, that way you don't have to take it out to do a battery pull. There is also an app called "SoftReset" that you can download which I believe is free.

I had already done the battery pull a couple of times but then left it out for a couple of hours while I was at Church. I usually take it to Church with me so I don't think exorcism is needed. Just got home and put the battery back in. I'll update later and let you know what happens.

I happy to report either going to church or leaving the battery out for a couple of hours did the trick. She is back to normal.
