Hi guys,

I've been dying to get my hands on the Verizon BB Tour, but now that I hear rumors about RIM producing an upgraded version, (Essex) I only have 1 question.....
Will the Essex be available for Verizon customers?

So far, I read it will be made available for Sprint. But there is no way I will switch from verizon to Sprint just for 1 phone. (Verizon's coverage and service is far superior through my experience)
Anyone with the inside scoop?

As CX has said, there is no way there will be a Sprint exclusive blackberry. If there is a CDMA bb coming out, it will most certainly come out for Verizon.

I seriously doubt you'll see the Essex before 2010.You'll see the Storm 2 in October and after that the Aries 8530(Curve 2).Sorry,I really wish I was wrong.

Thanks guys for the input. Yeah, I was suspecting the Essex wont be out until Q1 of 2010, which wont be bad for me since I'm due for an upgrade in July 2010 anyways. By then, all the kinks on the Essex should be dealt with (eventhough the Essex is an uprade of the Tour with kinks corrected)
It's good to know it gets wifi. My first Verizon BB with Wifi! at last!!!

October 18th seems way early I would expect a similar release like the tour late summer 2010

I got the Tour, but am bummed that they're already planning on releasing a newer version and am debating on returning my Tour and waiting for that to come out.
