    Blackberry Empire is reporting that although BlackBerry stated they would not end support for BBOS they have done so. It seems there statement only applied to BBOS 7.

    Does that mean the millions of businesses and individuals still using ancient handsets will suddenly lose BIS etc? These people still pay money to BBRY in terms of service revenue remember.

    Pretty sure no BIS is the same for OS 5 or OS7 I think it. Means OS updates ect. It will still work just no updates or sales, so if it breaks you can buy a nice new 9900 or bb10 phone

    It's about time. Now cut support for BB7 as well. They need to go full steam ahead with BB10.

    Phone still works, if it break down or you need a replacement, you'll need to upgrade to BBOS 7.1 or BB10

    I thought they were pretty much done with 5 and 6 a while back lol
    Does this mean new BlackBerry made apps for Legacy OS will only be made available for OS7? I.E. a new BBM update? Or does this only apply to OS updates? Still know a lot of 8520 and 9300 users walking around
