    I recently purchased a used Curve 8310. I upgraded from a Pearl. I have been trying to set up my blackberry email address on the new device but the new device already has an email address assigned to the pin.
    I have deleted the old owners address from the service book, but i continue to get the old users email and can't set up my own account
    Any one have a solution?

    Have you tried wiping the device?

    yes I have wiped the device to restore it to its original settings

    You probably need to call your carrier and have them take the take the pin off of the phone. I believe that this is only something that the carrier can do, and it's fairly easy to do.

    Have you created a BIS account? If not, create one and link your e-mail addresses to your pin.
