Ok so I have a blackberry curve 8900 and yesterday i updated the software to the new version I think it was the V5.0 or something. Anyways when I went to connect to my wifi the wifi symbol was gray but my router name was on top next to my wireless provider and in manage connections the name of the wifi router was green but instead of having a green check mark it had a white dash. I don't have a data plan and I dont want to get one. I never had this problem before when I was on the old software and I was able to have wifi with no problem for more than a year and it was always white! CAN YOU PLEASE HELP!

I have pulled out the battery several times.
    Been on several websites.
I have restarted my phone and router sent pings back and forth and everything NOTHING WORKS!
Please help I just want my phone back to normal

    Thank you

I can get onto the internet just fine. it will allow me to visit certain sites.
There is a bunch of service books listed.
    -Wifi TCP/IP Browser
    -Wi-Fi TCP/IP Transport
those are the only ones listed pertaining to wifi.
Everyone in my family has a blackberry and my brother has a blackberry without a data plan and he also did a software update and his works fine and turns white .

Just go through the wifi setup again. It should work itself out.
