Topic says it all. i have an option to get either of the two brand new, at the same price. Had the 8900 for 18 months its keyboard is giving problems. starts typing on its own like this uuuuuuuuuuuououououoouououuuuuuuuuuuou.......

A warranty exchange will do it, or just get another 8900 if possible.

What he said, although I respect the 8520 as it does all I personally need, the camera sucks.

    Get the 8900.

PS: IMHO, till this date, the Curve phones have the best keyboard as each button is isolated on its own rather than squashed next to each other.

I would get the 8520 as oppose to the 8900. I've owned both and I would have to say the 8520 is much superior to the 8900. 1 reason the trackpad. Makes a huge difference when navigating not to mention not having to change the trackball, but on the other hand..........

The 8520 screen resolution is lacking compared to the 8900 & no 3g, but it's not much of a biggie for me

Whichever one you pick are still both good choices. Just trying to give you a little insight

8900 hands down. Much better device overall. Plus the 8520 will actually degrade (keyboard falls apart, side buttons wear down) within the first 6-8 months.

I'd whole heartidly suggest the 8900. That screen is the thing on your phone and once you've gotten used to that, you can never go lower resolution. Plus the camera is way better. While I love the trackpad, and the trackball gets dirty, it's still better overall.

The only thing the 8520 has on the 8900 is the trackpad. Past that, the 8900 beats it hands down.

I've had both phones (6 months for the 8900 and 3 for the 8520) and personally it depends on what you're going for. 8900: way better camera, looks better. 8520: trackpad

Go for 8900, 8520 feels a lot cheaper and is pretty much plastic.

thanks everyone. basically everything i felt has been said out loud. Trackpad doesn't impress me enough, will end up going for another curve 8900.

    cheers!
