Welcome to the CrackBerry forums.
Please do not post in ALL CAPS. It's considered shouting and can be very difficult to read.
It sounds like you got moisture on the keypad.

STOP YELLING AT ME!
But seriously, turn off CAPS lock. It makes things much harder to read.
We could really use a better explanation of what happened. Would this be a 8300 or a 8900? Did you spill anything on it? Did you do a full restart?

Appears to be a moisture issue, unless more details are provided we would not be able to look into this and suggest some troubleshooting. However you may also consider to take the battery out, put it in a jar of uncooked rice overnight and try it out, if the device has been subjected to moisture, or you may consider reinstalling the OS.

IF IT IS A MOISTURE PROBLEM THEN YOU...
Just kidding. :D
Adding in to the post above me about the rice: If the water damage isn't too great, the rice should absorb the water in the phone.
If that doesn't work, take it in to a store. If they find that there is water damage by looking at the stickers on the back of the phone under the battery, then you'll have to do an insurance replacement or pony up the dough for a new one.
