BlackBerry should make a few TV commercials advertising all BlackBerry 10 devices before Christmas time. Recommending it as a perfect gift for all to enjoy! What's everyone's take on the subject?

I'm in favor but they have to be well-focused commercials that are specific about the features in BB10 and clearly state that BB10 is NEW. A commercial on the Time Shift camera, or one on the flick keyboard, or one on the Hub. The previous BB10 commercials weren't focused and lost any meaning.

I agree. Seems as if most are stuck in the past with the older devices. Most are completely unaware about the new BB10. I liked the Q10 commercial they advertised at one point though.

They need to hire an ad agency this week and ride them hard if they plan on having any Christmas commercials. (which I agree, they should / they need)

What's the point of advertising in the US? As soon as a person goes into a store (in the US) they will be redirected to iOs or Android.

BlackBerry needs to change hearts and minds which won't happen with a short as campaign...

Then again, I am no marketing expert :-)

Because blackberry needs to change hearts and minds they need to advertise in the US.

If you have a firesale, there won't be a need to advertise. The HP TouchPad firesale has proven that. Websites will pick it up quick and the news channels will catch on. The only problem with having a firesale, though, is that it will reaffirm people's idea that BlackBerry is dead.

This is a much better idea than just advertising because there's hardly any BB10 presence in U.S. carrier stores and as another poster commented, people will be redirected toward Android or iOS with regular sales people. It won't be cheap to implement though.

Get in on the Macy's Christmas parade, when they pass the grand stand the announcers- must -follow a script.Or else it could backfire,ha ha.I think the proceeds go to charity,that's good at Xmas time too!!!

Do you have any idea how many retail stores there are in the US? Multiple millions. Also, many US phone retailers don't actually stock BB anymore. You have to get them online.
