Talks much more about Device Managment and not very much about actual devcie. But it was interesting at the end...

“Over the past few years, mobile hardware and associated mobile solutions have been some of the fastest growing areas within government computing. However, mobile growth is starting to level out,” says IDC government insights research director Shawn McCarthy.

“The one bright spot by 2017 will be state governments, where we expect to see growth of near 8% for eReaders in 2017, thanks to revived tax bases, planned equipment replacement cycles and more workers who conduct their job functions out of the office.”

While the report does not quote figures for the Australian market, it predicts tablets will see double-digit growth in the public sector through 2016, along with wireless data services.
Didn't know that eReaders were a big thing in enterprise..... Maybe where being green is really being enforced and paper usage is required to be cut.

To me if BlackBerry doesn't have a tablet, and forces these enterprise customers to use these other platforms.... it will be very hard for IT to then not allow the smartphones that match those platforms. Leaving BlackBerry with only the Device Management solution, which is good. Just not sure where the margins are on MDM for BlackBerry these days with their having to license the portions for iOS and Android and competition being so tough.
