Hi, when i take the battery out and put it back in my 9790 the touch screen works...for 5-10 minutes, maybe an hour max then the touch screen doesnt work and is unresponsive. Then i have to take the battery out again for it to work. Does anyone know why this is happening? Everything else works perfect about the phone.
Btw ive tried almost every blackberry including the 9900, so from a blackberry fan, 9790, is the best size and best overall!!!!! Except this problem is pissing me off and i have never had any problems with any of my blackberrys -.-

Try updating (or at least reloading) your device OS. If that doesn't work, I'd start looking at warranty options.

Yeah...I had the same problem too...My Bold 9790's touchscreen usually stops responding several times per day, sometimes even battery pull won't fix it...

Start deleting apps and emails with large attachments. Sometimes that helps.

My wife's 9790 was doing that, turned out it was the Case-Mate Tough case, it's too tight and it kept some side buttons slightly pressed. Trackpad was slow to respond too, took it out of the case and it was back to normal.

I used to have the same problem when I was using the bold 9790 I changed to a 7.1os and it stopped, it might work for u too

hi. i use a mac. i downloaded the OS but the format is in exe file which doesn't runs on mac. i experience the same problem with my BB. Can you help?

happens to me about 10-15 times a day, i lock and unlock it and it works, sometimes takes a couple of tries but works at end.

Sorry to dig this up, but my work 9790 started doing this a few days ago. A couple times a day I need to reboot the phone to kick the touch screen into gear again. It's locked down so I can't update the firmware without going through the Helpdesk. I'm on OS 7.0.0.528. I don't think it's anything to do with low memory, as I am currently running with 200MB free. So weird. Had the phone for 10 months and it's been fine until now.
