Chen Gas . :)
From all the articles I've been reading such as Forbes, mention that the Priv has been really successful. If that's the case then a second phone from BlackBerry is definitely gonna happen.

Which articles?
Do a little Internet search and you'll see everyone saying that the Priv is a success.

A success how? There are no mention of sales anywhere.
I could see them rounding up the Passport internals and releasing the "Keian" Porsche Design device, though at this point I'd assume it would run Android?
That's really the only other BlackBerry device they've talked about being in the pipeline, but then again John Chen also said a Classic 2 and Passport 2 were following, but who knows if they'd even be BlackBerry 10 or not.

Considering I just got a Priv, that would be immensely annoying but understandable.

I don't think they're saying success (I've seen those articles too) as much as they say they like it. We'll have to wait for numbers.
Nah. Someone realized there would be bad connotations with releasing a device in white which stands for Privilege and Privacy.
'Hey, do you pick up that white Privilege?'
I can feel it. It is coming Passport SE II with the awesome BB10 Os!
The exact numbers are not available yet but it has been declared as a success. Of course BlackBerry wasn't expecting a HUGE return but the response has been positive which would lead them to create a few more android handsets.

You keep saying it "has been declared a success", but still have not said exactly by who, or linked to any such statement. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but would like to see it for myself.
It can't be considered a "success" without the numbers. A positive review is not the same as declaring a product a success. If reviewers generally like a product, but sales are poor, is it still a success?
The only thing likely to encourage BB to create a few more Android handsets is reasonably good sales numbers.

Right after the BB10 update for the playbook.
We are less than 30 days from the end.
It has been a good run.

It's concluded that Priv is a really good start for BlackBerry as it is looking promising since launch. Will they hit millions like Samsung and iPhone? No. But the fact that they did a pretty good job for their first android phone shows that BlackBerry hit the right note. That's why I strongly believe the Vienna WILL be released following the success after Priv. If Priv was only a bit cheaper I would guarantee the sales would be higher.

Thanks for the links. All but the last are from December, and of course don't actually have any sales numbers. The closest I see to actually declaring the product a success was the last article from January which said -
"Even though the PRIV found some success, the fact of the matter is that BlackBerry is unable to stop smartphone shipments from falling."
The rest said things like -
"As for BlackBerry Priv sales, the companys CEO said the results are good so far, though he didnt offer any specifics."
Hopefully for BB the product is actually successful and they can continue in hardware. The proof will be in the numbers.

Well I'm more of an optimistic guy because I'd hate to see BlackBerry die lol. So I guess it depends on how you take those articles!

I don't believe anything in regards to how they say the phone is selling until some actual numbers are given:
Examples:
BlackBerry CEO: Z10 Sales Are Shifting Tone of Strategic Review
Chen: Demand for BlackBerry Passport exceeds expectations
In summary, both Thor and Chen both said the same about the Z10 and Passport, which have not sold well.
Lmao I'm a huge supporter of bb10 but blackberry has literally killed this os by refusing to show any real support or development in os10 since the Priv was released

Even if BB10 is dead, I'll still be able to use my Passport for at least 2 years. It is the best phone I ever owned.
The Ghostbusters edition? With Slimey? Or the Marshmallow Man?
;-D
