Hey I am very disappointed in you, you forgot the little green men and most important. That all along its been Klingons...........that's why the Priv squeaks...... It's a secret code!

    Woof!
All the pictures I've seen... they are little Gray Men. Of course I put more faith in all those pictures than the ones of the the two "new" Android Phones that are being "planned".

Apple forked KHTML, an opensource project, when they desperately needed their own web browser. If it hadn't been for the opensource nature of the license, no one else would be using WebKit today (as they likely would have kept it to themselves), as attested by Apple's move to trademark it and not pass the trademark back to the original opensource project.

Apple's name is prominent, but many, many developers have contributed, even BlackBerry (RIM):

Both Safari and the BB10 browser use Webkit. I think that's the reason.
The BB10 browser is mistaken for safari. On the playbook you can set the browser to act as safari

Just google what's your user agent, mine is (from my Passport SE):

    "Mozilla/5.0 (BB10; Kbd) AppleWebKit/537.35+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/10.3.2.2876 Mobile Safari/"

It is up to Gmail or other third parties (like pop up ads) to parse this user agent accurately to figure out where it is coming from. If they do a sloppy job a Mac running Safari could be the conclusion.
