BlackBerry Advertisements in Malaysia

I was leaving my office and outside of it is this huge Digital Billboard with advertisements flashing across, and it has Audi, Shell, Mercedes, Air France and yes Blackberry Z30! It also shows all the models Q10, Q5 and Z10 at the end. (Will get a photo of it soon)

Next venue is a large shopping mall and at its bridge on level one (link between Mid Valley and Gardens) it has Blackberry 10 tinted on the glass

There is also at a couple of billboards on the way to another mall (Tropicana City Mall) where the high billboard is Z30 and the Tropicana Office Building is tinted with BlackBerry 10 on it.

iirc, the one at TCM has been there for quite some time, even before Chen took over. it's a massive, massive ad

edit : glad to hear a fellow Malaysian who appreciates the beauty that is BB, I've only seen an uncle using a z10 once so far.

Yeah, have to agree with you there Ernest101, Blackberry is slowly becoming a niche item compared to the masses several years back.

I don't know but the devices somehow seem to have an unspoken appeal. I think in terms of seeing Blackberry10 devices around, I have had slightly more luck. I have seen numerous devices but of course wish it was more. Having said that, even previously on the Z10 I was already hooked.

Wow it has been there that long? I mean I guess I was always in a rush and the ads, just went by without looking at it.

I haven't been around to keep the thread updated. In Bangsar Shopping Complex although the Maxis Store took down their Blackberry 10 mini booth, their television outside display ads that occasionally show the Z10 from time to time.

I must add, they have lost top spot which they have held in Malaysia for several years now, and conceded it to Celcom. Though I know for a fact that these are in no way related. Ironically, Maxis had opt out to bring in the Z30 and Celcom were the only Carrier in Malaysia to officially carrying the Z30.

Here's news of them being at the summit : Celcom is now the No.1 Telco with 13.1 million subscribers, made RM2.4 billion in 2013

On another note, Malaysian Wireless quite a nice local site to read their Facebook Cover page had this.
