It's like the curtain commercial for that one in the back.
I seriously doubt this was an intentional "product advertisement placement" not even product placement. Half the people who watched the show can't even tell it's a blackberry.
Maybe it is an advertisement at a subconscious level. Maybe they flashed a picture of Q10 for a 1/24 sec as well.

Half the people on the show use blackberry phones (being govt officials). I have seen many bold devices, a porsche design and a Z10 or two

    I love that show.

And yeah, I spotted that right away too. I wish they showed more BB10 devices up close and personal. Boss was a good show that was flooded with BBRYs, legacy devices though. They even outright call their phones by BlackBerry name on that show. I'd like to see of House of Cards do that just for ****s and giggles.

Well, one guy smashes his phone (8520?) against a desk, but if I had a 8520 in 2014 I'd have done the same, too.

    It's not on Amazon Prime.
I guess it's time to get rid of Good Wife since it started getting really ridiculous with all the lapses, and try this show.. Maybe I can watch the whole S1 and S2 in a month using the trial

Your sarcasm detector, it's broke lol. Even though House of Cards does have a lot of BlackBerry placement, I'm with you in thinking this one might not have been overly intentional but who knows. They also have a ton of Apple placement as well with up to 9 Apple devices on screen at one time and Apple even reportedly provided the hardware. Long story short, if it was intentional -smart. If not, well that's one placement they might not have had otherwise which is still cool.

Maybe it's a coincidence but that is Molly Parker. She has a big role in this year's series and she's Canadian. As I said, maybe it's a coincidence but it could also be an inside joke by the cast.

But for Apple the logo is always visible, for BlackBerry - never. Maybe one or two shoots on the ringing 9900

Any step in the right direction, whether intentional or unintentional, is a positive thing. Slowly but surely BlackBerry will come out of the dumps.

Yup. Remy Danton has a Z10. Doug Stamper (8520?) and Frank Underwood (9900) have legacy BlackBerry's.

Claire Underwood has an iPhone (4S or 5). Jackie Sharp has a Windows Phone (Lumia 920).
