I Bought An Unlocked BlackBerry 9530 (Storm) On eBay And I Am Expecting It Any Day Now. I Am Wondering If NEED The AT&T $15 BlackBerry Data Plan To Use BlackBerry Messenger. I Would Like To Use The $30 Unlimited Data And Messaging But Am Unsure If It Would Work. All In All Would The AT&T $30 Dollar Unlimited Messaging And Data For Non-SmartPhones Allow Me To Use Bbm?

You need a specific Blackberry Data plan in order to use BBM and a majority of the core apps, such as facebook, twitter, Blackberry browser etc.

Plus AT&T requires a smartphone/BlackBerry data plan on BlackBerry devices activated on their network after Sept 2009. The non-smartphone data plan is not applicable.

But the 2GB BlackBerry Plan should only be $25.
