In terms of processor and speed is 8800 faster than curve? or do they come with same chip?

My new 8310 is slower than my old 8700... what gives? It's not the Internet / data connection, it's the device. Unlocking the keys takes about 3 seconds for it to respond. Navigating through the menus is sluggish. I haven't put anything else on there except the google apps. I notice some things like PTT are in the switch apps menu - can I disable this, I never use it? Should I get a micro sd card? Do I need to update the OS?

jpmaxman, Do you have a lot of apps running? Go to "switch applications" and see whats up and running and close any un-needed applications.
