I think it ultimately depends on what the OP is looking for out of his device. For some of us is about the constant tweaking and tinkering that goes on (i.e. new leaks, hybrids, etc). Some other folks demand absolute perfection out of the box, which for a new release device its almost impossible. In addition, the technology will keep moving so if you wait new things will continue to come out so one has to take the plunge at some point.
RIM will not launch the Essex months after the Niagara came out. No way. The Essex is NOT coming out this year.
Big red did Bogo on the tour with in the month that it was released. thier getting ready for something. idk if its just for the storm 2 or what. this phone should drop with in the next 4 months.
Wait, because no matter how bad what you have now is, you will hate the Tour. It has the worst trackball of an any Berry made. I can't stand it.
If you get a Tour made after August 3, 2009, the trackball is perfect. I had to take my first Tour back and swap it for a new one. This is a known issue that has been resolved. My new Tour rocks!
