I'm not sure if this is the right place to post my questions but in the last 5 days BIS service on my 8900 is working only under Wi-Fi connection.
Once I turn off Wi-Fi BIS service stops working at all and I'm not able to receive/send emails or use internet.
I think I'm not having problems with RIM servers and problem depends on my carrier...otherwise BIS connection should not work even under Wi-Fi....
It would seem that when you're on WiFi it's not BIS, it's just plain old WiFi service. When you're off of WiFi does it say "EDGE"/"GPRS" or "edge"/"gprs"

It says EDGE/GPRS.
And when WiFi is on I can use some services that are possible only having BIS.
