    Just started a new job. they have OWA for remote access to Exchange.

    So I went into my BIS account and entered all of the details (OWA server, username, password, etc), BIS goes off to configure but comes back saying it could not connect to the mail server. At the same time I can go to the OWA url and log in with no problems.

    The IS here said they needed to actiate OMA on my exchange account as that is what is needed for Windows Mobile devices - they did that but it made no difference - still can't set it up.

    I always thought that as long as OWA was up and working BIS would set up easily using those credentials (in fact I had done it in a previous job).

    Is there something else that could be preventing BIS from setting up the OWA account? I am with VF in Australi (not that it should make a difference).

    Are you logging in to your OWA secure site? Find out the address of the https site and try entering that into BIS. Let me know if it works.

    the http url redirects to the https url and then I log in.

    I have tried both and neither one works in BIS

    Ask them if they have an ISA server in place. If so, then it won't work.
