I realize BIS is no longer on the new BB10 devices, but is it still possible to have that feature enabled or turned on if BlackBerry wanted to?

The reason I ask is Thorsten Heins said in December that although BlackBerry will no longer offer BIS as it is known now, they will be offering different types of services to different clients/customers. Obviously there is the business side, but what does that mean for the average consumer?

One of the main reasons BlackBerry is so popular in the emerging markets is because of BIS, and with the the Q5 going to these markets does it not make sense to continue this service? As amazing as the BB10 OS is should BlackBerry really chance it with all the cheap android alternatives?

Turned on or enabled implies that it is built in. Which, it is not.

If. If this happened it would be something that would be added.
