    Finally an article worth reading. Still could use an edit, and a bit more information. Stating the obvious does little to impress me but glad to see they put effort in for once.

    Sometimes it's wrong to blame BGR (or the others) as a whole for the bad articles, take a look at the writer of the articles first.
    IMO, they're the main culprits for these kind of bad articles.

    I wouldn't assume this is a trend. If you look at their BlackBerry stories, notice what's common and what's missing:

    - common: random excuses to sneer and snicker at BlackBerry, usually written by a writer who says right in his byline that he proudly switched from BlackBerry to Android

    - Not common: Reporting BlackBerry news, updates etc. See a lot on the Z3? See a lot on BES 12 etc? It took a while to even see anything for 10.2.1 and then most of the pieces were left out.

    BGR is not going to be a place that reports the whole story of good, bad and in between when it comes to BlackBerry. They have a negative stance.

    One note about this, that sticks in my craw a bit

    " Microsoft has been seen as a stodgy old tech company"

    I think Microsoft doesn't get enough credit for being willing to push the bounds and change. As much as it has irked people at times, I think it takes serious ballz to be willing to completely rework established cash cows instead of limping along at a corporate pace unwilling/afraid to change.

    Windows Mobile -> Windows Phone
    Windows -> Windows 8

    The article is still pretty bad. Sure it's nice to see them throw a bone to Blackberry, but the the author's flawed logic, irrational conclusions, and just plain bad analysis, runs rampant throughout the article. His conclusions and predictions may very well come close to hitting the mark (quite possible really), but IMHO it's just so annoying to see somebody stumble upon a conclusion through all the wrong reasons.

    I totally agree with you but it's just like BBOS7 to BB10 they had a perfectly functioning OS. But they didn't bring all of the old functioning features. Luckily we got "most" of those BBOS features back but we still don't have all of them.

    Windows 8, if you have it. The functionality of it compared to windows 7 or even windows xp did not get brought over. Windows 8 is about apps. 8.1 still is missing all those functions that it use to have and that is the only update of 1 year!! Xbox is vastly losing subscribers to PS the reason why is because Sony listened to their customers. Xbox was at the top and easily could of stayed there.

    Companies can't just upgrade something not having all its past features or at least a worth while upgrade of each of those features. It will bite them in the as* and people will move on.

    I still laugh about every BlackBerry article at Bgr. Why? I still remember the 'RIM is dead' article.

    But they still keep writing articles about this 'dead company'. BlackBerry ist a cash cow for them.

    Since this article Bgr has no credibility to me anymore.

    So I want you thinking about it.

    So because they wrote one not so negative article BGR suddenly has journalistic integrity?

    OP: the reason many of us refuse to visit that pile of garbage BGR calls a web site is that they cannot seem to report the facts without putting their own twist on it, or leaving out the facts altogether.

    A lot of criticism directed at BlackBerry is legit, the fact that BGR is down on BlackBerry is not why I refuse to give them hits - its because they have an agenda and don't balance their 'journalism' ( I puked in my mouth a little when I typed that).

    BGR isn't journalism, and doesn't claim to be. They're coverage is absolutely biased, but in their defense, they don't claim otherwise.

    Meh.

    The article focused on stock prices, and seems like it spent over half its words discussing other companies.

    BGR is a bandwagon-jumper. Right now for the first time since the BB10 launch, Wall St. is being slightly more optimistic about BBRY.

    In such an environment, it's hardly a sign of integrity or strength to just go along with the crowd.

    Do not forget that BGR was also the one who recently published an article claiming BlackBerry marketshare was "0.0%", only a month ago.

    They are garbage.

    I remember this 'piece of garbage'
    We know that BlackBerry is struggle in the US, but it's just too absurd to say 0.0% market share.

    This guy's the culprit x_x

    I am pretty sure BGR authors are watching these threads from CrackBerry.

    BGR, if you are watching, I suggest you write another article "We were wrong, BlackBerry was not dead, is not dead and will not be dead."
