    Bold 9000
    Curve 8310
    Curve 8520
    or the Curve 8900?

I wanted the bold with the tackpad but it's sold out on wirefly. I'm renewing my contract with at&t and i really don't have the slightest idea on which one i want. Which one is generally better?

i'm ordering from wirefly and it's sold out. i called them and the rep told me they don't when and if they'll be getting more. i need a new phone NOW so...
how much better is the 9700 over the 9000?
i was reading around the forum and it don't seem like any drastic changes were made. so what makes you say that?
personally i would wait because i prefer the trackpad but i just can't.. my busted iphone is starting to get to me

    What BergerKing said.

The 9700 is well ahead of the 9000 in function. The keyboard size keeps it out of my hands but the functionality is terrific.

Might want to try other discount vendors walmart, amazon, even Crackberry has phone sales. Makes sure to read the terms generally there are extra ETFs and service level commitments (that is you must get higher minutes per month packages). You really should try to get the 9700.

i'm checking amazon right now. but it's for $75... is there any other places you know of? apart from the 30 dollars a month data plan, there's MORE "fine prints" on top of that?

unfortunately i wouldn't be able to get the 9700 unless it's free, and i'm not finding anywhere which offers it free atm. i guess i'll have to settle for the 9000 until time to upgrade comes around again...

I have the Bold 9K listed on the same line as being closw to par, with form factor being a personal preference. Each has slight differences, but persistence will pay of in getting the device you really want. How hard are you going to kick yourself if you 'settle' and the realized that it wasn't worth it?

Well after like two hours of talking to the sales rep I was able to get the Blackberry Bold. I though i was getting the Bold 9000 but apparently not. It's just a blackberry bold. WTF is a plain blackberry bold? i'm kinda confused on that. According to the pictures on wirefly the phone i was ordering was a blackberry bold 9000 (wirefly.com/eCommerce/SpecialOffer.aspx?cid=22327_ea316b37efe54dfdad26fa 599ae6c34a) But the dude i was speaking to told me it's not a 9000 but just a plain "Bold".

I went ahead and brought it and i'll see when it comes. If i don't like i'll save the pennies to get the 9700 or either the curve 8900 or 8520. I'm assuming the 8900 is a upgrade from the 8520? I prefer the track pad on the 8520 thought over the 8900's trackball though.
Can someone help me clear up what phone exactly i just brought? The rep i was speaking sounded confused as ****. He told be it was PLAIN blackberry bold with no number attached to it. Does that exist?

the link doesn't work for some reason. it takes you to something completely different. try this one.
    wirefly.com/phones/at&t/upgrades/?referringdomain=wirefly&refcode1=attts3_smsngmprs n&refcode2=wlnp&agent=&eid=

first row second to last phone. it's the "Blackberry Bold" that comes in white and black.

He's wrong. If it comes in black and white and looks like that--it's the Bold 9000.

AT&T cell phones - compare all available ATT phones with ATT wireless plans.

You can hit reply to see what I did to repair your link. Added the [url][ / url] boxes to execute the vB code.

The 8520 model is new, but the only real advantage it has on the 8900 is the trackpad. And the 8900 has a much nicer screen and feel, in addition to a superior camera with flash. Given the choice, 8900 wins it. 8900 also has a better camera than the 9K Bold.

The sales rep must not know his devices very well. The 9000 is a good product. However, as soon as I smell a little BS or have to deal with an under-educated sales rep, I find somewhere else to spend my money.

Yah, I went from an 8700> 8300(lol, still use it for work)>Pearl>"8310">9000>9700

    @Op-
IMO, BergerKing has them listed correctly. But, others will say the BOLD(original), the 8900, or whatever device they're utilizing at this time. Anyway, good luck

After playing with them all, it came down to the bolds for me. If you can't get the 9700, I'd go with the 9000. It's all preference though.

Blackberries are so much more confusing that my iPhone days lmao! If i don't like the one i'm getting i'll return it and get the Curve 8900. Which according to you guys i'm getting the BB9000, right? So much different models to choose from and all with different upgrades/downgrades it gets confusing picking one. But as of right now i've seem to be split between the Bold 9000 and Curve 8900 mainly due to the fact that i'm a photo ***** and i would like a good camera! I'll see when the 9000 comes how it works out. Thanks for the help!

I got really lucky and got in on the end of the free Bold 9700 deal with Wirefly. I was very impatiently waiting for the 17th which was the date we could renew our contract and get the deal. I saw on the 14th they added on free activation so I took the chance and put in the order then knowing that it was the day before the weekend so probably wouldn't make it through ATT until Monday the 17th. The next day I noticed the Bold 9700 showing out of stock on Wirefly so I was scared but ended up getting it last week.

I noticed another site like Wirefly called Cell Phones for free with Cell Phone Plans from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless that had it for free last week and in stock, now I see it's in stock but $50 which is still great. Good luck.
