My girlfriend just bought a Blackberry Curve 8520, and she's been having
problems with the phone dropping calls while at home, just a few minutes
into the call. After some Googling (Google for "uma call failed"), I decided that it was
related to UMA and something to do with how the phone transfers connections
from EDGE to Wifi. I haven't been able to narrow the problem down exactly,
but I suspect that the wireless router I am using is the source of the
problem. I have a Belkin Wireless N+ Router, but I find it's lacking in
features, unrelated to Blackberries. I plan to buy a Blackberry too
eventually, so I would like to purchase a wireless router that I know will
work with both Blackberries. Is there a certain model or brand you
    recommend? Thank you.

I'm ok with buying a wireless G/N router and only running G with the blackberry. I just want a good router that won't cause calls to drop.

I would get a G router for now. There aren't a lot of N devices. Also, if you buy a G/N router and connect a G to it, the entire network would slow down. So for now, go G.
