i always used to have insurance through the carrier (verizon/insurion) but with the tour i opted to get the best buy protection plan. i know some of the basic differences, like that best buy has no deductible and doesn't cover lost phones. my question is what are the other basic differences and what is the procedure at best buy if i have an issue? thanks for any help

everything is the same just like you said, but they send your phone out to be "serviced" so you will be out of a phone, you can get a loaner phone through best buy for a 150 deposit and get that once you return the phone

I think the fee for the Best Buy insurance is higher than the carrier.

Asurion is a rip off. Just take the money you pay them each month plus the deductable and put it in a savings account. So when or if something happens you can just buy a phone and you wouldn't have wasted all this what if money. Insurance a legal scam
