The Best Buy ad today has an ad for the "New Blackberry Pearl II". Picture of an 8100 as best as I can tell. But it's for pay as you go. The fine print, "phones, servie and coverage not available in all markets. Available in New Jersey. No dealers.". Any ideas on the "II" part? More memory?

Well technically the Pearl II would be the 8110, 8120, and 8130, while the 1st gen. Pearl would be the 8100.

The next rumored Pearl is the 3G Pearl, but that's not suppose to be out until Q4 or something like that...

They actually called those the Pearl II, huh? Weak. Then my 8900 should be the Curve II. Just sayin'.

Technically, it is the Curve II...but manufacturers can be lazy.

Talk about best buy slip ups! There was a best buy ad once where it showed a bunch of smartphones that were on sale and they had superimposed the screen images on them. They all had the verizon blackberry theme menu image lol
