Don't really find it shocking but majority are saying, like I do, the 9900. Find it sad that BlackBerry lost something after the 9900. It's like they reached their climax and everything since then for hardware was downhill. Don't get me wrong, the Z30, Passport and whatever other BB10 devices are great but could never capture that something special in the 9900.
The 9900 was so special that millions of users tossed them in the recycle bin and bought iPhones as soon as their jobs allowed BYOD.

The BlackBerry Priv hands down, no question about it. Now remember the question was which hand set not which OS.Also the passport as many seem to think was not that great a phone. It was technically a flop as after the initial sales it really has not sold well. The passport was designed for certain applications where you need to view and analyse data such as documents and spread sheets as well as medical records. As far as the consumer do you really require a large difficult to carry phone.

The Passport was and is the best phone in the market. I find it hard to use other devices now as the form factor is perfect. If you want a keypad.

For me, the original Passport is the best hardware and software combination BlackBerry has put into the public domain to date.

I'm still trying to prove It's existence and recovery at Roswell in 1947, maybe Fox Mulder will shut this case for me.

I kinda had reservations like that about the Priv - until I got my hands on one in the store and liked it.
I think that many buyers, even BB enthusiasts, want to get their hands on "oddball" formats like big squares or 16:9 sliders before ordering. The lack of Passports in the stores hurt sales, IMHO.

The 9900 for me was the perfect marriage of a matuare OS and great hardware. That isn't to say it was a perfect phone. It had some issues. But overall I don't think I've enjoyed using another BB phone as much.

The fleet of BB10 phones are all good as well. But it took a while for the OS to mature enough to make that so. Of these the Q10, Z30, and Passport are probably the best.

Passport for power and desktop experience.
Q10 for portability. Z10 for hotspot and endless gaming (removable battery!)... :-)

BlackBerry Passport (any edition) - This is the ultimate form-factor for productivity in 2014/2015/2016. One of the few truly unique phones left. The Silver Edition is my preference but only slightly.
BlackBerry Z30 - Somehow this manages to feel like a BlackBerry even without the keyboard. Simple and understated in a way that no other phone has managed to match.
BlackBerry Torch 9810 - Even five years later I think it still stands up as an iconic and stunning design. It's only thick when comparing to modern slabs but just feels right in actual usage. Sadly the Priv doesn't even compare.

I don't need a phone. All I need is a mobile laptop that sometimes makes calls.
Passport is the best and only by far. Nothing comes close.

Well I only ever owned the Z10 and I have to admit, that it is my absolute favorite phone by now. I know it has flaws and is not well known for it's battery life, but I really really love it! The onscreen keyboard is such a blessing, coming from android and the HUB is such a great utility. I don't need a pkb or a big screen and the battery shortage is kept at bay by a spare battery.

I'd like to upgrade to a Z30 or Passport because they seem to be a bit faster and have better battery life. But 'till now I'm really confident and I am a little afraid those bigger phones might be to big for me because I absolutely adore those nice small phones like Z10. And then I also like to looks of the Z10 best.

    So I'd say until now:

Z10 - because I love it - and love is unreasonable, you know

By the way: My wife uses a 9900 and she likes it so damn much she is absolutely sure she'll never use another phone (well let's see how that'll work).

I saw three (twenty somethings) with 9900's on Saturday night. They were separate occasions and I thought it was odd. Could be making some sort of hipster underground comeback.

    So many to choose from

Best BB7 phones hands down are the Bold 9000 and Torch 98xx. I loved the big beefy feel of the 9000 and nice large keyboard space. Torch 98xx felt nice in the hand with no case and worked reasonably well for an older OS catapulted into the touchscreen and app era. Suffered from the slow responsiveness at times which effects on screen keyboards more than physical ones.

Best BB10 would be the Passport. Has the best camera and great screen resolution. The original with the curved sides and metal accent feels real nice in the hand also without a case. Z30 could have been a contender but has lower resolution than the Z10 and never came out in LTE versions for some big carriers like AT&T.

Currently the best overall is the Priv. Only lacking in integration of features like they can do on the BB10 phones. so some things are limited by what Android allows. But the combo of physical and virtual keyboards never felt so good since the Palm Pre 3. Add to that the best camera in the lot, good speed, great screen resolution and size. A good winner in my book.
