Just to balance out the Worst BlackBerry Ever thread I thought I'd make a thread for you to let the world know which BlackBerry you think has been the Best Ever.

By that I don't necessarily mean a current BlackBerry compared to one from 5 or 6 years ago, obviously it's going to be hard to beat the top of the range Z30 for "best"-ness!

I want to know the one you remember being the best you used in its day with the fewest niggles and problems, the nicest design and most useful in your life at that time.

One that I've had? Without a doubt the Z10. I think most people would agree that the best right now is the Z30 though. Except for the keyboard lovers.

My choice is the Pearl 8120.

Launched before large screens became near essential with WiFi and an improved keyboard and 'tool belt' design over the original Pearl 8100 it was the first BlackBerry that I felt was truly like an extension of my right hand.

It was beautiful to look at, small enough for any pocket, the battery lasted a couple of days and
With the Sure Type keyboard I could easily rattle out emails single handedly in comfort.

I kept using mine as my work phone for far too long just because I liked it so much, until 2011, I can hardly believe that now.

As the years went by the lack of 3G, the slow CPU and the poor Browser experience became very apparent but what a great little BlackBerry it was for so many years.

I think the Pearl 8120 because of what it could do at the time it was released. It was glorious, lol!

This thread has been discussed quite a few times already but I would have to go with the 9900 series for me. Been through a lot with that phone, and it always performed flawlessly. Plus something about it just felt great in the hands. Also, it was fun to use. For example, I looked forward to using the phone and would go out of the way to find ways of using it more. Awesome phone

Not going to lie, I am liking this Q10 more and more everyday so it's close.

I'll say the Z10. It has been a beast. If I had to go pre BlackBerry 10, I'd say the 99. Its design is still one of the best ever made.

I always liked the look of the 9700, didn't use one as my daily phone but I did use a few that I issued to users at work. One issue my users notice with it was that browsing over 3G on it was very slow compared to other 3G BlackBerry's such as the 9000. It seemed to suffer huge latency when trying to access web pages, once it was there a download would be as quick as you'd expect but it took forever to get to web pages.

I am going to say my 7100i Nextel model back in the day. It never let me down and I traveled the world with it. I still like the old style track wheel navigation method and I could fly through the menus.

I know it didn't have all the bells and whistles these newer models have, but it delivered my email and messages on time and as a business person who depends on that, I couldn't ask for anything more.

At the moment I really like my z30 and I am really liking OS10, the more you use it, the more it grows on you.

I still have my wife's pink one in the house, that little thing actually had two speakers, very good sound out of them.

I'd say the best was the 9700 on OS5, OS6 kind of ruined it.

    The Torch 9810 for me.

It had/has evrything. I finally had to retire it because no LTE IF BB made a 9810 with LTE I'd probably drop my Z10 instantly.

I liked the torch 9800, but I'd say the z10, fits in any hand, performs just like it should battery life is decent, everything else is excelent.
The z30 is good too but the screen size is an issue for some, including me, I don't like big screens, big screens are for tablets.

Of course everybody is tempted to say either the Q10 or the Z10 or the Z30. The next device Blackberry might lauch in 1-2 months might be the best.

I think it's fair to say "The best Blackberry of his time" and one model steps out, and it's the Bold 9000, the first Bold ever made, 624 MHz processor (the first i-phone had a 412 MHz), HTML browser, superb design, that leather back that gave it a premium look, it was the phone for any executive or CEO.
Another phone that was awesome in his time was the Curve 8900, slim, elegant, business look.

7520, 8330, 9000 and now the Q10. Q10 is by far the best, but each of the previous BB's were best at the time they came out.

I have to say, the 8700! That thing was a beast of a device. Back then, my missus would complain I never put my BlackBerry down, and in fact, I didn't.

Now, I even leave my Z10 at home sometimes, not because I forgot.

PS: the 9900 is VERY close

for me no doubt …Q10 has the best materials and the device is really sexy in the hands ….
Second comes Z10 with the 9900 and last but very very close ….Z30
I put last the Z30 cause i think its not made properly …The front side part isnt well made ….it feels cheap and it makes me feel that the device was made very quickly , just to sell and save the company …….but of-course it didnt …

PLAYBOOK... even in its current form of a shameful half balked state, it still holds it own up spec wise...PB10 not being on the Flagship QNX model is even more shameful even a stripped slightly back BB10 version.

The only thing I can qualify as a success about BB10 as a user is the PlayBook.

Wrong name from the start, PowerBook, wrong RAM and ultimately OS launched incomplete and marketed at business pricing when consumers were BBOS/7 50% market...Playbooks should have been marketed as a major affordable accessory with browsing SECURITY like no other, BIS/BES and wifi to BB servers: 'Experience the most secure internet experience...Experience the BlackBerry PowerBook'

Add to the dismal experience of interaction between the QNX PB and BB10 (poor spec) devices and yup, the product was right, the time was right, the price was as death defying as a incomplete OS.

When my PlayBook dies so does my commitment to BB & OS7...i'll find UMA on better non secure devices than BB10 offers from the competition...I'll be sad, but then Playbook OS has left me slightly sad and burnt, when PB burns out so does my 8 years of loyalty, I even forgave outsourcing of customer care*
