We have been hearing for a while a "November" launch, but now we do know that it's the 4th of November and many HSPA phones will be available and in stock the night before launch.

One of those phones available at launch will be the BlackBerry 9700.

Seeing how this is Bell/Telus project, I can only assume that Telus will have the same phones and launch dates.

Agreed... Atleast tell us that your brother's wife's cousin's boyfriend used to walk the brother of the companies dog or something

A reliable contact within Bell told me the news yesteday. I could see how that isn't a good enough 'source' for you guys but the bottom line still remains, keep an eye out and expect the HSPA network and the BB9700 from bell (and most likely Telus too) on November 4. Stock will be in on the 3rd.

Nah sorry, the source wouldn't say much about that.

I even asked him what the iPhone plans would be like and he said he doesn't have much info about pricing...

Well other sources are now trying to confirm the iPhone 3G and 3GS to launch on November 4th, which means my contact was right about the HSPA launch and hopefully the BB9700 launch as well...

You are correct on this... I was in a meeting with all carriers today and heard it all.. exciting news for carriers...

Great to hear, thanks for the confirmation. Can't wait, I will be buying both a BB9700 and an iPhone 3gs at the same time... I get a free unlimited line from Bell so I might as well get to mess around with both phones.

Great, no 9550.... Sigh.... Bell is slowing going down the drain for me...

Bell has never, ever, listened to their customers. The only reason why I'm with them still is purely monetary.

Confirmed list of HSPA phones from Bell coming November 4th. See attached image.

    BB Bold 9000
    BB Bold 9700
    Apple iPhone 3G
    Apple iPhone 3GS
    LG Xenon
    Samsung Impact
    Samsung Omnia 2
    Nokia 2730
    Nokia 6350

    Turbo Sticks:
    Novatel Wireless U950
    Novatel Wireless U998
    Novatel Wireless X950

As C_X mentioned, the price of the 9700 is 399.95 3yr contract and 599.95 no contract. But for some reason the Bold 9000 will also be the same price... 399 and 599.

And since on this note, I figured might as well put up the pricing for all iPhones coming to bell in the other attached image.

This cannot be right. It says that they will sell an iPhone for $399. Who would buy an iPhone for $400 when they can buy one from Rogers for $200. And the 9700 can't be $400 either.. nobody will buy a $400 phone and pay at least $45 a month for data, that's ridiculous!

Those pricing grids are only showing the $200 rebate for a 3yr agreement. On smart phones they have other credits for adding a data plan, which on average tends to be another $200 rebate.

I forgot to mention, my same source mentioned to me a 2-3 weeks ago that he had a chance to play with a Bell Storm 2 (9550).

So it IS coming to Bell, however it won't be here until I think sometime in December.

Get someone to take over your contract! Most people give up the phone for free as an incentive, but since I love my phone, instead I'm paying someone $50 to do mine.

Had a meeting at Bell earlier and a RIM rep was present. He said that the Storm 2 will not be available in Canada until next year, hopefully around February or earlier.

He also confirmed that the Tour is in it's end of life and will soon be officially discontinued.

Had a chance to also play around with the BB 9700, the one I had was sporting software 5.0.0.208 I believe. It's an awesome device...

On a side note, google's android will be hitting Bell very soon, it's coming.

this is my first time posting on crackberry so forgive me if i do so poorly...

with regards to the pricing, i read above how the price will be 399.99 or 3yr contract, with another 200$ credit with a data plan.
Now the other day i was at a wireless wave questioning about the 9700 and plans ( i only go there because they offer extended warranty with an instant loner if your phone needs repair) and a sales person told me about a bell corporate plan that is really sweet ( 250 weekday min, free E&W after 6pm, unlimited incoming and texting, voicemail, caller ID, and 500mb data for 47$ a month with no service charge only taxes). finally my question is, would this corporate plan count for the additional 200$ credit off the 399.99 price that is usually given to consumer plans? thus letting me get the 9700 on that plan with the credit off the 399.99 price
    thanks

Yes, with the corporate plans you still get the extra data credit...

Just one thing to keep in mind FOR NOW, is that those prices are not final, as that is what Bell employees are continuely being told... so they could be more or less, and the data credit could also be more or less. But as far as your corporate plan goes, like I said, same hardware pricing applies if youre doing a 36 month contract.

that is true but with coporate cause you get credit once a year you pay 50 dollars more then what a consumer 3yr would pay.
