I don't put too much weight on these "sell outs" that are happening yet. We have no idea how much initial stock is. It could be fairly low.

Low initial stock could hurt blackberry they need to have the inventory ready to ship and not **** potential owners off!

True. Properly managing low inventory sell-outs creating a sense of high demand by consumers is a smart guerrilla marketing strategy if and only if there is no way to verify inventory levels at the wireless carrier. Marketing 101 - create demand for the product, consumers believe the product is popular and in high-demand, consumers buy the product thereby creating a self-fulfilling prophesy. Profit!

Blackberry (R.I.P. RIM) made the biggest mistake by giving Version exclusivity to the white Z10 imho...

I agree, I am on AT&T and this announcement has deflated somewhat my desire for the phone to come to the US. I wish I could afford to purchase an unlocked one from another source. I am wondering if this means that AT& T will never have the white one or it will be just for a certain time period.

rcab, I'd look to see if I could order one from Canada. Make sure they are fully compatible though, of course.

True, but many people here were also blasting Nokia for the same thing.

Let's just wait and see what the numbers are.

OK waiting for numbers makes sense but.......
