Okay so this REALLY is pissing me off and I am not sure what to do or how to approach this, but was wondering if others have noticed this.

I was looking through my movies that I have purchased through BBW and noticed that in the list there are about half of the movies I have purchased missing...and then those movies are now not even in the BlackBerry World at ALL!!

So I do not know what is happening, but BlackBerry World isn't carrying the movies anymore and I can not even download or play the ones that I have already purchased!!

    THIS HAS TO BE FIXED!!!

Sounds like it would be a good plan to copy them to a PC or external storage even if they can only play on bb. At least you could copy them back when wanted.

Yes, I have some of them copied, but I didn't copy them all to my PC so there are a bunch that are missing...never expected the movies to just disappear from the store! It's not even like they were random movies, they are major motion pictures that people probably would want to purchase at any point...REALLY bad

The problem is the copy protection. Many of the $.99 and free movies had a very limited window to download those movies in... 30 days or so. So even if you have the original file, if you have wiped you device or changed to another device that isn't authorized... the file is useless because you can not reauthorize that movie anymore. Now normal full priced movies shouldn't have these limitations, but then again if the movie isn't in the store anymore - not sure how you could reauthorize it.

Basically BlackBerry movies should be viewed as long term rentals. Not as investments in to long term ownership. If you want that, buy a BlueRay or use a legitimate service like VUDU or iTunes.

You get to download it 8 times. Then the file is useless and you can't re-download it. Plus, you can't play them on any other device aside from a BB10 phone. Basically, movies from BBW are useless.

I enjoyed the .99 one I got as I got it to watch on my plane ride. I was shocked I couldn't watch it on my tablet but it killed time on the flight so .99 well spent for me.

I haven't downloaded any of the ones I bought but once, and some no longer work. They key was that most of those $.99 and of course the free ones had a limited window to download them in after you purchase them. That seemed to including downloading for use and for reactivation of the copy protection. Movies like Iron Man 3 and Monsters University are no longer listed in my MOVIES section of BBW and even though I still have them on my device, the activation fails (I've done a clean install with no restore). But there are a few that are still there and that work... but I have no idea if they will work for two more months or two more years. The key was how long did it say you had to download the films.....

Downloading the films is one thing, and that makes sense...but what REALLY does not make sense is the fact that a brand new movie like Monsters University is no longer in the store AT ALL..I can't understand if they limit the downloads you get and all that, but what about people who are willing to pay full price for that movie? Now its not even in the store to purchase for anyone?

Seems really odd, and something BB needs to fix!

Most of the movies I bought are not there anymore Star Trek Into Darkness, Iron Man 3. The issue I have is after a software update or my Z10 go replaced, even though you have them on the SD Card, you need to install the License Key. Now moved to Z30 and even though I have them on the SD Card, it won't let me install the License. Plus before Iron Man3 disappeared, it would give me the option to download it but refused when pressed download. Wouldn't even give me the option to re-purchace. Even the movies that have disappeared from BMW don't appear in BlackBerry World purchase history.

Bought '12 Years A Slave', but never watched it due to licensing issues. Was horrified to see I had one day to download it to five devices. Emailed support, but in the time I did so, I exceeded my licenses. Thankfully, only 99 cents. Hopefully, as good as others boasted because I wouldn't know.
