Roughly about 1kb per message, more if you send pictures. 1024kb.= 1mb.

To PING someone is to alert them.

While in BBM, hit menu then Options and you can set whether your phone will vibrate when PINGed.

i have my BBM sounds on silent. i don't like it sounding a tone every time i get a message in conversation. So i like it to vibrate to alert me when someone wants to chat.



Otherwise, i agree, you could just send them a messege to alert them.
